For Eindhoven University of Technology, we developed six informative 3D animations that explain various forms of integrated circuit technology step-by-step for an international and academic audience.
Eindhoven University of Technology conducts research into diverse forms of integrated circuits, from open-source chip design to photonics and neuromorphic systems. These technologies operate at the micro and nanoscale and are largely invisible.
The university wanted to better explain its research to international researchers, students, and collaboration partners. Text, diagrams, and papers required extensive prior knowledge and made it difficult to quickly understand what makes each research area unique and what problem it solves.
This did not involve a single subject, but six different technologies, each with its own context and technical challenge.
The six topics all revolve around processes that are not physically visible. Think of signal processing in chips, the interaction between light and matter, or magnetic fields in medical systems.
With 3D animation, we were able to visualize these processes without simplifying the content. Animation made it possible to build up layers, follow signals, and explain abstract principles such as parallel processing or wireless filtering in an understandable way.
This was essential to make the technology transferable to viewers who do not work with integrated circuits on a daily basis.
We developed a series of six separate 3D animations, each based on a content script from TU/e and focused on one research domain:
For each animation, the technology is logically structured from basic principle to application. The visuals display components, interactions, and limitations in a technically correct manner, tailored for academic use and international communication.
The six 3D animations are used in research presentations, international collaborations, and educational contexts. They help TU/e to clearly explain complex technology without losing substantive depth.
By treating each research area separately and visually, an overview and understanding are created among diverse target groups. In this way, the university can better share its knowledge and position itself within the international research field.
Good interaction to arrive at a great script and a widely viewed animation. Excellent

Animation Agency and Thibault in particular, assisted us very professionally during our search for an agency that could create renders for us. Within 48 hours, we had examples (sketches) of their work. A picture is worth a thousand words, so it is easy to build upon that. Colors, textures, and specific wishes were discussed during the initial consultation. Very professional. They know what they are talking about!
Much understood with few words. Professional organization. Nice people
Craftsmanship recognizes craftsmanship. We enjoy working with parties that value quality over speed alone. Animation Agency is one such party. A partner we recommend with confidence.

During the process, Animation Agency frequently asked for our feedback, and as a result, the animated film meets our wishes: our vision and core values are clearly reflected!
Whether it concerns an ambition, product, process, technology, or idea: we make visible what makes it special and translate it into imagery that is clear, convincing, and impossible to ignore.
